Hi, I’m Alyssa! —
a classically trained violinist with a love for creating unforgettable moments through music.
Whether it’s a wedding aisle, a corporate event, a candlelit dinner party, or whatever event you have in mind, my goal is simple: to make your experience feel magical, memorable, and completely you.
With years of stage experience, freelancing, and a deep passion for both acoustic and electric violin, I bring a versatile mix of elegance and energy to every event. I’ve performed everything from lush classical pieces to cinematic pop covers, custom mashups, and even performed for Orlando ballet and Disney!
Music should feel like a perfect fit, not an afterthought. So whether you’re envisioning timeless romance, moody drama, or high-energy fun, I’m here to help bring it to life — one beautiful note at a time.
My Story

The violin has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was five years old, a classmate of mine brought a violin to kindergarten for show-and-tell and when she started to play it, I was instantly hooked. From the moment I held a violin myself, I knew it was more than a hobby — it was something I wanted to dedicate my life to.
I grew up in Orlando, Florida, and began performing seriously through the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras. Over time, I became concertmaster of each division, including the Symphonic touring group, where I had the opportunity to perform in world-renowned venues like Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein, and across China!
After high school, I earned my Bachelor’s in Music Performance from Florida State University. One of the highlights of that time was forming the Red Hills Quartet, which won first place at the MTNA National Chamber Music Competition. We performed in all kinds of spaces — from VA hospitals to elementary schools — and I began to see how deeply music could connect with people. During this time as well, I was performing solo with local orchestras back at home such as Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, Maitland Symphony, and Winter park Chamber Music Academy which furthered my love for sharing my music :)
I then went on to complete my Master’s degree at DePaul University in Chicago, where I launched my freelance career. I’ve since performed at weddings, private events, conference receptions, even yoga classes!
What’s stuck with me most through all of this isn’t just the music, but the feeling of being invited into someone else’s special moment. There’s something incredibly moving about getting to soundtrack a life event, and that sense of connection and gratitude is what inspired me to start Velvet & Voltage.
My goal is simple: to bring expressive, high-impact music to the moments that matter most.
My Favorite Things
When I’m not performing, you can usually find me enjoying s few of my favorite things — here are just a few that make me smile:
